Does a higher level of digitization create more security for the consumer? What happens to our privacy, how transparent are we? How far can / may / must consumer protection in the retail industry go? What do consumers want? What can the retail industry do? In view of climate change and food safety, is it necessary to rethink production and thus only more regional and organic assortments? Are sustainable business models and assortments profitable, how much can sustainability cost? Is it "reprehensible" for a company to have products in its range that have traveled a long distance? Do we need to know where each product comes from? And finally, what is the legislator doing or what should he do?

On the panel

Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker, Honorary President of the Club of Rome - who also holds the key note: "Digitalisation must become sustainable. How can policymakers make sustainability sustainable?"

Elisabeth Köstinger, member of the National Council (ÖVP) - from 2009 to 2017 Member of the European Parliament; 2017 to 2019 Federal Minister for Sustainability and Tourism.

Andreas Tschas, co-founder of the Pioneers Festival - widely known in the start-up scene.

Arno Wohlfahrter, strategy consultant of METRO AG on eco systems - specialised on sustainability.
