“Freedom, Egality, Fraternity? How the French elections impact Europe.”

Daniel Cohn-Bendit at the 30th Berlin Wednesday Social

On 10 May 2017 more than 200 guests attended the 30th Berlin Wednesday Social with Daniel Cohn-Bendit to discuss the topic “Freedom, Egality, Fraternity? How the French elections impact Europe.”

The former European politician Daniel Cohn-Bendit vividly talked about Emanuel Macron’s possibilities, the future tasks, Europe has to face and the peace making necessities, especially younger generations have to engage in: “Make love to make Europe” stated Cohn-Bendit and said, that remaining in left-wing-right-wing measurements is simply the result of intellectual laziness.

Only with more solidarity there could be more economic success for Europe – and national identities could only be protected within a sovereign Europe, emphasized Cohn-Bendit.
