METRO GROUP supports the Commission’s proposed directives, which are meant to facilitate online access for businesses and consumers to goods and services through a single framework consumer contract law. Nevertheless, the new regulations should be aligned with the rules of the applicable Consumer Sales Directive (1999/44/EC), which already ensure an adequate level of consumer protection, as well as a balanced relationship between businesses and consumers.
