Together for good trading practices – The Supply Chain Initiative

The Supply Chain Initiative - SCI -brings all actors along the entire food supply chain to the table. Its goal: fair business practices. Producers, suppliers and retailers must be able to collaborate closely and trust one another, because only fair cooperation throughout the supply chain can ensure the best quality products and customer satisfaction over the long term. This is the objective advocated by the voluntary Supply Chain Initiative, which was founded in November 2011 by seven European umbrella associations within the food supply chain. The initiative drafted and adopted ten basic principles for fair business practices. Every year its members have to report on progress and cases. Read more
