Relaunching our digital office

Presenting the representation of our interests in an optimized design.

With today’s relaunch of our digital office we’re joining the two public policy websites from our representative offices in Berlin and Brussels. From now on, this is the place where we jointly represent METRO’s interests towards politics, in associations and in non-governmental organizations worldwide.

The new digital office is completed by our colleagues from our Düsseldorf headquarter, the International Affairs team and our Moscow office. We are excited to have gained more expertise for an even greater scope of our political work.

Our new design allows for an improved and intuitive access to our core topics – divided into the main categories Food, Trade and Supply Chain, Independent Businesses, Digitisation, Climate and Energy, Mobility and Transportation, as well as Law and Economics.

At the same time, the “events” section of our new website can give an impression of the political events that the Corporate Public Policy team organizes – while the continually updated event calendar gives an overview of METRO’s upcoming political activities.

The digital merger gives the Corporate Public Policy-division of the METRO AG a modern and distinctive face. This change projects externally what METRO already lives internally – a unified presence of our Public Policy team worldwide, which stands for the initiative to start a dialogue and which offers maximum transparency for the representation of our interests.

From now on, our digital office is available in two languages, English and German. This not only allows for the highest level of transparency about our national, European and international lobbying, but also reinforces the dialogue with our stakeholders all over the world.

Simultaneously, starting today, our Twitter presence shines in new splendor: the channels @DasGuteessen and @METRO_EU are united in the new account @METRO_Politics. There, you will find daily updates on the topics hospitality, trade, digitization and consumer policy. Here you can check which acronym stands for which author.

If any questions or ideas remain, it’s now easier than ever to get in touch with the right contact person.

We look forward to hearing from you!
